Mr. Phineas Richmand Padgett, an 18-year-old high school senior, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at his home in Pine Mountain with his dad and stepmom, Dr. Chris and Kyle Padgett.
An informal drop-in, visitation/memorial to celebrate his life is planned for Saturday, May 20 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Bluffton Funeral Services, 1011 North Lanier Avenue, Lanett.
He was born in Austell, Ga., Oct. 26, 1998. Phineas was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Melvin Padgett and Peggy Padgett, as well as his maternal grandmother.
Phineas is survived by his parents, Dr. Chris (Kyle) Padgett and Dr. Kelly Doherty; Grandma Patsy Thomas; aunts, uncles and cousins, Clint (Becki) Padgett, Hamilton, Samantha, Libby Heacock, Butch Heacock, Beau (Shannon), Autumn, Shea, Rowan, Cash, Michael (Janice) Heacock, Katie and Lexie, as well as maternal family members.
He was a beautiful young man, with a sweet spirit that gained pleasure by being generous to others. His intelligence often showed through his witty banter as his laughter would often echo through the house and his bright blue eyes would light up with his handsome smile. He mastered the Internet's activities and satisfied his appetite for life by trying different types of foods, whitewater rafting, snowboarding, ziplining, paddleboarding, golfing, swimming, lifting weights, scouting, playing strategic trading card games and reading. He had no siblings but loved and was loved by so many pets, friends, and family.
Phineas did struggle with some personal issues and lived his life by his own set of rules and when he was ready to go, he went. Unfortunately, his life was taken too soon and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, nephew, cousin or friend. He forged a lasting impression and was a blessing to all that knew him.

Hello. I know nobody here knows me, or might not even see this, but Phineas was my best friend for years. He really helped me through school and helped me deal with some personal issues. He was such a nice guy. I think about him every single day. I'm having a little boy soon, and his middle name is Phineas, in honor of him. His spirit will live on forever. He'll always be apart of me.
