Obituary For Patricia Marie Burt

Mrs. Patricia Marie Burt, 78, of Valley passed away Tuesday, February 25th at Piedmont Columbus Midtown Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1946.

Mrs. Burt is survived by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Gerald Burt Sr., and children Joe Austin, Terry Austin, Thomas Gerald Burt Jr. (Jennifer), Pamela Howard (Ronnie), and Tanya Lasha Page (Scottie). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Hanna Austin Salter (Chris), Wesley Austin, Matthew Austin (Bre), Kenzly Austin, Nora Austin, Cash Austin, David Heiser, Kyrie McCartney, Anthony McCartney, Justin McCartney, Stephen Caldwell, Brandon Caldwell, Jonathan Caldwell, Jaelynn Howard, Rummer Howard, Dru Basy (Heydi), Sabrina Page and Ava Page. Mrs. Burt is also survived by twenty great grandchildren and her siblings Richard Patterson (Donna), Johnny Patterson, Mary Jane Phelps and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Burt was preceded in death by her mother, Dera Patterson, father, Denson Kent, stepfather, Sim Guy Patterson, brothers Guy Patterson and Jimmy Patterson and a great grandson, Barrett Caldwell.

Mrs. Burt was an employee of West Point Stevens for 32 years and an employee of Dillard’s until her retirement.

She will be remembered as a light in the darkness and a friend to many.

Visitation for Mrs. Patricia Burt will be on Tuesday, March 4th, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM EST with the funeral to follow at 3:00 PM EST at Valley Point Funeral Home & Cremation in Lanett, Alabama.
