Obituary For Mary F. Lashley

Mary Faye Lashley, also known as Faye, passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 92 in LaGrange, Georgia. She was born on June 11, 1931, in Lanett, Alabama to Jim and Lena Mae Pinkard. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, JL "Mutt" Lashley, her daughter-in-law Brenda Lashley (Randy), granddaughter-in-law Leigh Shelton Lashley (Jamie) and her granddaughter Hannah Stanford (Lori).

Faye had a vibrant personality and was known for her love of Alabama Football, her beautiful flower garden, and her dedication to her church. She was an active member (until dementia took her ability) of Reed's Chapel Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.

Faye retired from West Point Pepperell Mills. Her hard work and dedication were evident throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Randy Lashley, Needra Lashley, Jeff Lashley, and Lori (David) Barr. Four grandchildren, Dana (Lamar) Craven, Jamie Lashley, Casey (Katharine) Lashley and Kinley (Josh) Bartlett. Seven great grandchildren, Zach and Ben (Kendall) Spears, LJ Craven (Dana), Jayleigh Shelton, Jaycee Vinson (Jamie) and Erin Lashley (Casey). One great great granddaughter, Emerie Bowen (Jamie) and her Honorary grandson, Mark Spears, who spent many years helping the family care for her.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church in West Point, Georgia, on Sunday, February 11, 2024. The visitation will begin at 3:00 PM (ET), followed by the funeral at 4:00 PM (ET). The Valley Point Funeral Home in Lanett, Alabama, is assisting with arrangements.

Faye will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
