“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted.” Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2
A Time to Be Born: Mary Nell was born October 29, 1950 in Troup County to the late Ms. Lennell Owens Scott and Mr. Willie Lee Clements, Sr.
A Time to Learn and Serve: Mary Nell grew up in Lone Oak, Georgia and attended the Meriwether County School System. Early in life, she joined the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her heath declined. From behind the scenes, she supported her church in any way that she could: fundraisers/rallies in the early days, Kitchen Committee and supporting our youth even in her illness. As a young girl, she also worshipped faithfully at the St. Paul CME Church in Lone Oak, Georgia. She worked for 27 years at Playtex Apparel in Newnan, Georgia until the plant closed in November 1999. Her final working assignment was with the Coweta County School System until her health started to decline.
A Time to Love: On February 22, 1993, she was united in holy matrimony to John W. Rosser. Together, they were the proud parents of five children.
A Time to be at Peace: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love is appearing. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8.” On Sunday, November 24, 2024, she transitioned to an eternal sleep at Well Star West Georgia Medical Center in Lagrange Georgia surrounded by her loving family.
A Time to Rejoice: In addition to her mother, she was proceeded in death by her husband, John Rosser; her grandmother (second mother) Ruby Mabel Owens; grandsons, DeMorrio Fuller and Omar Rosser, Jr.; son-in-law, Bennie Fuller and stepmother, Bobbie Jean Bohannon Clements. The bridge to which she leaves to cherish her loving memories includes her father, Mr. Willie Lee Clements, Sr.; children, Latonya Fuller (John), Christopher Owens, Darrell (Kimberlea) Owens, Connie (Gary) Wiggins, and Omar Rosser; grandchildren, Beontae (Kayla) Fuller, Russell Mathis, Shaylatiah Owens, Natasha Fuller, Audrey Paige and Sidney L. Wiggins, Amber Evans and Omara Rosser; great grandchildren, Layla, Moriah, Kingston, Asher, Noah and Ava Fuller, Kaleah Owens, Dalex and Nayeli Gonzalez; loving sister, Vickie Williams; brothers, Willie L. (Theresa) Clements, Jr., Gerald (Tina) Clements and Alonza Bohannon. She also leaves to cherish her memories a loving aunt (big sister), Sophia Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Thelma Smith, Florine Clark; Mary Catherine Rosser and Betty Rosser; special cousins, Frances Rosser, Mabel Addie, Katie Addie and Mack Owens. Others to cherish her memories include nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Through all her health issues and limitations, her fondest moments were when we she was able to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her “Pride and Joy.”
Arrangements entrusted to Thrash and Sons Funeral Home.
