I had Drill Sergeant Smith for basic training at Ft Campbell, KY in May-June 1970. I remember him well because he was a great trainer. It is easy to remember the good ones. CSM (R) Lloyd Murray
I met Mr. Sidney when I was an undergraduate student. He will never be forgotten, as his spirit lives on as the caring person that he was through those he touched and cared for. He was the epitome of "service to others" as a Veteran and Civilian. You will be missed, Mr. Sidney. My condolences to his family. SMC 10.04.24
Mr. Sidney was our godfather when we got married. We were a young couple, new to Columbus-and he and Mrs. Ruby exemplified the type marriage we wanted to have! Mr. Sidney actually bought our son his first bow tie!!! He will always be remembered! My son still dresses to a "T", at the age of 9 because of his dad and Mr. Sidney!!!! Please keep us updated!!
