Mr. Paul Lawrence Jones, Jr. transitioned home peacefully Saturday at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center. He was 55 years of age.
The son of Mr. Paul L. Jones, Sr. of Columbus and the late Bernice Tolbert Jones, Paul was born in Lumpkin, GA where he was a 1983 graduate of Stew- art-Quitman High School and was a member of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. He was previously employed with Dryvit Manufacturing Co. Paul served as an Official with the GHSA, and being an avid fisherman and hunter, was a member of the Barrel Mouth Bass Club.
Survivors, other than his father, include: his devoted wife, Mrs. LaRhonda Porter Jones; a son, Marquevious Williams; five siblings, Cynthia Murrah (Ernest), Kenneth Jones, Sr. (Loretta), Rozonda Davidson Tonka Jones and Terri Jones; his fatherin-law, Willie Porter (Julianne); and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Jones will be conducted on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Philadelphia Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
