Ms. Mattie Louise Austin passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born on June 21, 1943 to the late Joe Brown and Ella B. Austin in Hurtsboro, AL.
The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Mattie Austin will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Progressive.
Visitation will be held on Friday beginning at 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

When it comes to supportive and loving family members, Moot Moot was one of the best. She would cook for you and bake all kinds of cakes and pies and everything for you. Having her help raise us shaped my sisters and I to be the people we are today. The grief of this loss was a feeling unlike anything we had ever experienced before. May she rest in peace and may her memory live on in the heads and hearts of all she encountered. ❤️
