Mr. Lincoln Rutledge III passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the age of 67. He was born on September 24, 1956 to the late Lincoln Rutledge Jr. and Eula Rogers Rutledge in Lagrange, GA.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Rutledge III will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, in the Chapel at Progressive beginning at 11:00 AM with interment begin held at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday beginning at 3 until 6:00 PM.
Mr. Rutledge, III was a member of Wards Chapel CME Church, LaGrange, GA. He attended Hardaway High School in Columbus and retired from Columbus Foundry after thirty-five years. He was a member of the Grandtree HomeOwners Association, he enjoyed walking, going to the gym, reading and collecting cast iron skillets.
Other than his parents, Mr. Rutledge was preceded in death by his grandparents; daughter, April Cobb and a sister, Sylvia Rutledge Brooks.
Surviving his departure with cherished memories, his wife, Olivia T. Rutledge; daughter, Latesha Carter of Columbus; one brother, Stanley James of Valley, AL; two sisters, Twanna Whitlow of Valley, AL and Rudene Hightower of Pine Mountain, GA; four grandchildren, Maurice Carter, Jacquarie Carter, Demetreece Carter and Anastasia Cobb, all of Columbus, GA; one great-granddaughter, Raelynn Carter of Columbus, GA; two aunts, Mildred Rutledge and Lucy Rogers of LaGrange, GA; and a host of devoted family and friends.
