1SG Young helped me get a compassionate reasssignment to Ft. Benning after my mother became ill and even after I subsequently exited the military we became friends. The first piece of art I ever owned, he hand delivered to me...he was a jack of all trades and a man amongst men...I will always remember and cherish his counseling sessions...I pray he is home and happy...Your erstwhile soldier Warren

Had the pleasure of meeting Joe over 20 years ago by way the military. Retired soldiers always stuck together. Bunker Hill was the spot. He met no stranger & would give the shirt off his back. Rest my solder, Rest!
Uncle Joe,
You used to comb my hair and take care of me when I was a toddler. I've been blessed to have you in my life, through my life and into my 50's. I love you dearly and I am going to miss you so very much. You helped me through some hard times and I appreciate everything! You gave me away my wedding day, with that big bright smile of yours. You always said "Family comes first"! You had your own way of showing love for us. Thank you for the heart to hearts, your confidence and your trust in me! Rest easy my Warrior, rest easy. Love you to infinity!! You will never be forgotten!!! In my heart forever and ever!!!
