Obituary For Henry Lee Williams
Mr. Henry Lee Williams was born to the late James Williams, Sr. and the late Mattie Francis Williams on September 4, 1948 in Preston, Ga.
He departed this life on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
Henry was educated in the public school system in Preston, Ga. As an adult he moved to Columbus where he worked for GA Power, Kmart and Azalea Nursing Home. He also worked along with his brother, Clifford, in a small engine repair shop. Henry had a green thumb. He loved to garden, grow flowers and plants. He was also a good cook (although he made up a lot of stuff) His daugters can attest, there was not much he couldn't do.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Sanders; siblings, James Jr., Paul and Mary Jane "Micky" Thomas
Henry leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Reverend Leotha Williams, with whom he shared 45 years of matrimony; two daughters, Ramona (Michael) Smith, Roseceter (Marquis) Knight; siblings, Johnny B. Sr. (Jerry Dean) Williams, Clifford (Rev. Pat) Williams, Ollie (Annette) Williams, Verna (Rev. Ronald) Williams, Ruby (Jimmy) Garnett, Willie "Kitty" Reliford, Susie (Peter) Jackson, Jacqueline (Alfred) Horlsy, Linda (Alvin) Young; grandchildren, Louis Trey (Autumn), Rachel (Joseph), Michael, Lamarr, Jr., and Marquis, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Williams will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM graveside at Preston City Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday beginning at 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Progressive.
Progressive Funeral Home staff is privileged to serve the Williams family.
