Progressive Funeral Home respectfully announces the passing of Georgia Smith age 91 of Columbus on February 8, 2021.
Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetery during a One O’clock PM Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Her grandson, Rev. Tony Lattimore III will deliver the eulogy.

Mrs. Georgia Bell Mennefield Smith passed away quietly Monday at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center at the blessed age of 91.
Born in Heath, AL, she was the daughter of the late Bishop Ernest and Mrs. Georgia Bell McDave Mennefield.
A resident of Columbus most of her life, she was a home-maker, attended Grace Temple AOH Church of God and Kingdom Metropolitan Worship Center(Refresh). Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, President Smith, Sr; her children, President Smith, Jr., Betty Taylor, Henry Smith, Robert Smith, Joseph Smith, Evelyn Smith; a grandson and great grandson, Reginald Smith and Ernest Mennefield, Jr; her siblings, Albert, Moses, Lewis, Emanuel and Horace Mennefield; Lula Mae Madison and Annie Lois Simmons.
Survivors include her loving children, Barbara Brown, Johnnie Hite, Indio Tucker, Clary Smith, Linda Smith, Willie B. Jackson, Eddie Smith(Vevely), James Smith(Brenda), Calvin Smith, Frank Smith, Freddie Smith(Sandra), Willie Smith, Joe Smith and Michael Smith; fifty grandchildren, one hundred twenty six great grandchildren, fifty nine great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friend..
