Mr. Alvin Hodge was born March 11, 1961, in Americus, GA to the late Willie Hodge and Willie Mae Hodge. He transitioned home on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his residence.
Alvin attended Spencer High School. After attending high school, he became a member of the U.S. Army. He later went on to work for Woodruff Brown Company performing landscaping. He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents Lewis and Lula Singleton. His sister Levora “Jean” Oliver, brother Willie “Chuck” Hodge and cousin Leslie Singleton Davis.
Surviving his departure with cherished memories include: One son Jamar Hodge and two daughters Toya and Oceie. Four siblings Benita, Delois, Calvin, and Anthony; Beloved nieces and nephews Chris, Andre, Litosha, Kimberly, Shamonka, Laketa, Bryant, Michael, Lashundra, Sherita, Calvin, Marissa, Calvin, Caitlyn, Nicole and Emmanuel; an aunt, Katherine “Ann” Singleton; Devoted cousins and a host of special friends.
The homegoing celebration for Mr. Hodge will be held on August 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Progressive Chapel. Pastor Juliette Dozier will officiate.
Visitation will be on August 4, 2023 from 10:00 am until service begins at Progressive Funeral home.
