William “Bill” Trice was born March 15, 1948 to the parents of the late Ernest and Charlie Mae Edge Trice. He departed this life on October 20, 2023 at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home, Columbus, GA.
William accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Keeney Memorial United Church. He received his education in West Point Public School System. He was a graduate of Harrison High School.
Shortly after graduating from high school he became employed by West Point Pepperell (Lanett Mill). Over the years he worked in construction at Dwayne Story Graving and Paving in Lanett, AL and Holliday Construction Company in LaGrange, GA. He retired from Robinson Paving in Columbus, GA, where he was an equipment operator used to handle the paving of asphalt.
“Bill”, as he was known by many enjoyed rabbit hunting and fishing with his brother, Greg. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, along with his wife Phyllis Trice; two brothers, Arthur Edge and Calvin “Pie” Trice; a sister, Louella Jackson and a son, Xavier Terrell Trice.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Felisha Wright (Marvin) and Titania Heard; eight grandchildren, Jaelanya Heard, Demarquez Jenkins, Xavier Ferrell, Altaveious Carr, Tatyana Robinson, Asiah James, Ayanna Johnson, Miyanna Harrison; two great grandchildren, Airyanna Parkmon and Kaylee
Jenkins; three sisters, Ernestine McFarley, Rebecca Sands, and Addie Hutcherson; two brothers, John Trice and Greg Trice(Minnie); a loving aunt, Alice Jefferies; god daughter, Carlishara Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and a special friend, Rosella Carter.
Graveside Services for Mr. Trice will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. ET in the Marseilles Cemetery, 400-498 East 12th Street, West Point, GA 31833 with Pastor Brenda Pritchett Rhodes serving as the Eulogist.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
