Ms. Theresa “PopReese” P. Davidson, 68, of Lanett, AL, transitioned on March 7, 2025 at her residence.
Ms. Theresa Lavon Palmer Davidson was born September 25, 1956 in the Waterworks Community of West Point, Georgia. She was the youngest of six children from the union of late Willie Hill and late Jessie Willie Watkins Palmer.
“PopReese,” as she was known by many, attended West Point High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1974.
At an early age she confessed Christ as her personal savior and united at Love Union Baptist Church in West Point, GA, where she remained a faithful member until her death.
Theresa was a loving mother and grandmother. She welcomed everyone in her home and there was not a person that she didn’t meet that she wouldn’t help if needed. Theresa loved dancing, cooking, and listening to Johnnie Taylor. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She was always ready for a game of spades, her favorite cold beverage, and watching Western shows.
Theresa was one of a kind. Loving and full of wisdom and strength. She taught her children the importance of Family, Faith, and Compassion. She always let them know that she believed in them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezekiel Davidson Sr.; her parents; five sister, Annie Davidson, Charlotte Davidson, Shirley Ann Palmer, Nellie Ruth Mays, Sue Allen Jones; two brothers, Jill Jones and Shelton Palmer; granddaughter, Tatyana Newman.
On Friday, March 7, 2025, God called our beloved Theresa Davidson home. She died peacefully at her home in Lanett, AL.
