Rosie B. Jones was born January 13, 1927 to the late Rev. P. W. Wallace and Mrs. Cornelia Floyd Wallace in Cusseta, Alabama. She departed her earthly home for her heavenly home on January 24, 2025, surrounded by the Love of her family.
At an early age, she united with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Opelika, Alabama. She worked in many areas of Christian Fellowship such as the missionary society and as the assistant church clerk. She was a faithful servant of God, a very dedicated worker in the Church until health started to fail.
Rosie B. was a devoted and loving mother, exemplifying the Proverbs 31, Virtuous Woman. Not only was she a loving mother to her children, but she also served as a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren. She was lovingly known as Big Mama to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was committed to hard work and to whatever she did – she did it with integrity and honesty. She worked at West Point Pepperell until she retired.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late KC Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, KC Jones; son, Willie B. Houston; Grandson, Alexander Anton Jones; stepsons, KC Jones, Jr., Jesse Jones, Walter Jones, and Tommy Jones; stepdaughter, Barbara Ann Jones; four sisters, Emmie L. Kellin, Zollie Mae Harris, Ossie Pearl Johnson and Carrie Lumpkin; five brothers, T.J. Wallace, Benny Wallace, Floyd Wallace, R.E. Wallace and Percy Wallace.
Rosie B. Jones leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Brenda (Leonard) Truitt, West Point, Georgia; three sons, Thomas (Fern) Houston, West Point, Georgia, Roger (Laverne) Houston, Valley, Alabama, and William (Allison) Jones, Lanett, Alabama; one stepson, Otis Jones, Lanett, Alabama; four stepdaughters, Ruby Jones and Eliza Jones, both of Valley, Alabama, Dorothy Jones, Lanett, Alabama and Deborah Chambers, Columbus, Georgia; one brother, Walter (Teressa) Wallace, West Point, Georgia; one sister, Mattie Streeter, Orlando, Florida; special friends, Lila Hall, Mary Davidson, and Mary Jennings; two wonderful caregivers, Tollie Armstead and Janice Todd; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jones will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1111 East 10th Street, West Point, GA 31833 with Rev. Rodney Jones, Eulogist, Rev. W.G. Wimberly, Rev. Larry West, Rev. Alvin Todd, assisting.
Interment will follow in the Marseilles Cemetery, 400-498 E. 12th Street, West Point, GA 31833
Public viewing will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. ET until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

I don't remember you but your son my uncle FatMan I do remember.He's a man of morals & Integrity & I say that because he use to show through example,I didn't follow his way ,but I do remember & I hope to do some good In my life.You taught him good & It shows through your old age.Thank God for you & anyone like you!God Is with you & others you don't know because God put things In line like that,I didn't make the funeral but my heart & blessings go out to the whole Jones family.
