LaTriece April Jones Thomas was born March 24, 1987 to Rev. Bueman Jones, Sr. and Charletta Jones in Valley, Alabama. She gained her wings Saturday, August 10, 2024 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
To know LaTriece , whom many referred to April, would be to know she embodied the very essence Kindness, Love, Adventure, and last but not least Forgiveness. She never met a stranger that she did not show the love of God to, believing to always treat everyone with respect and hospitality. To know LaTriece was to know you could not keep her from serving the Lord through church and worship whether that be church events or church on Sunday. Any day was a great day to fellowship with family and friends and throw something on the grill especially some chicken wings.
She was a friend to all those that knew her. She was the friend that would travel in a storm just to bring you a piece of cake. She was a friend that you could travel across country with. She was a friend that would go out her way just to bring you that little piece of heaven in a gift, just to make your day even if hers was not going well. She was the friend that would be by your bedside sick and in health even if she needed someone by her side. She was the front row for school events and celebrations. If she knew you, she would go out of her way to love you and give to you. She was never selfish or self centered because she lived to serve, serving the Lord and serving others with the love of God. LaTriece April Jones Thomas will be loved and remembered as a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin; but, most importantly a dear friend.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Charletta Jones; father, Rev. Bueman Jones Sr.; and brother, Isaiah Jones.
