Miss Kiesha Antionette Smith was born May 30, 1967 in Langdale, Chambers County, AL to the parentage of the late Steve Smith and Doris Franklin Silmon Smith. She departed this life on September 1, 2022 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.
Kiesha confessed Christ at an early age at the Rehoboth Baptist Church, Valley, AL. Later in life she united with the Open Door Fellowship Church, Valley, AL, where she remained a faithful member until failing health. Kiesha, worked hard as a CNA for over 20 years at the George H. Lanier Hospital, Valley, AL. She was a member of 1986 graduating class of Valley High School, Valley, AL.
“Granny”, as her grandchildren called her, loved to eat and watch television with her babies. She enjoyed listening to her gospel music “Up all Night with Jake Session” and the late Lee Williams, and The QC’s. Kiesha also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking with her oldest daughter, doing crossword puzzles, talking on the phone to her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, Jaylen Williams and Paris Bryant; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters who she loved dearly, Shandreika Smith and Jashayla Lyons; three grandchildren, Eriunna Crim, Ivey Williams and Mason Smith all of Valley, AL; three sisters, Alexis(Kennth) Lott, Alexandria(Torrance) Smith and Elizabeth Smith; one brother, Eric(Kimberly)Smith all of Valley, AL; six godchildren, Sherika(Bryan)Kendrick, LaGrange, GA; LaTiffany Tucker, Valley, AL, Aslyn Johnson, Thomasville, GA, Cedrick Bailey and Julio Scott, both of West Point, GA and DeShawn Core, Valley, AL; one aunt, Peggy Smith, Stone Mountain, GA; six special friends, Tammy Dunn McGhee, Bobbie Jean(Ralph)Core, Rebecca Floyd, Scottie Jones all of Valley, AL, Jacquise Washington, Smith Station, AL, Carl Tucker, West Point, GA; one special cousin, Jackie Billingslea, Lanett, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Ms. Smith will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m EST in the sanctuary of the New Dimensions Worship Center, Valley, AL with Bishop Donald Lancaster, Pastor, Eulogist, Minister Cathy Bullard, Pastor Brandon Moore and Minister. JaKalvious Mwikuta, assisting.
Pubic viewing will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. EST at the mortuary.
