Mr. Jerome A. “Dontae” Jackson, 34 of Lanett, AL, transitioned on February 14, 2025.
Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Jerome “Dontae AKA “1Knot” Jackson will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the New Beginnings Worship Center International, 302 Boulevard, Valley, AL, with Pastor Sandreka Pruitt, Bishop Carterris Tucker, Eulogist, Elder James Pruitt, Pastor Demetris Foster, assisting.
Public Viewing will be from 3 to 6 PM on Friday the 28th, at M W Lee Mortuary.
Jerome Adontae Jackson was born July 3, 1990, in Chambers County Alabama, to Ms. Kim Veronica Jackson and Mr. Jerome Avery. He departed this life on February 14, 2025 at EAMC-Lanier, Valley, AL.
Jerome was a product of the Chambers County Public School System, where he was a graduate of the Valley High School Class of 2010. He was known to many as “1Knot” and “Dontae.” Dontae would always leave you with a smile on your face. He would keep you laughing with his funny sayings.
Dontae was currently employed by GFA, a Kia Supplier.
Dontae was a family man; he loved his family. He adored his two daughters; they were his pride and joy. Dontae was known to be an immaculate dresser. He would be sharp from head to toe with matching colors when stepping out. 1Knot was a loyal friend; he was loved by many and hated by no one.
Dontae was preceded in death by his mother, Kim Veronica Jackson; two brothers, Marcus Anthony Jackson and Norman Charles Walker Jr.; grandparents, Mr. Willie (Pop) Avery and Hattie Florence Avery, James
Freeman Jackson; great grandmother, Jessie Bell Lyons; two uncles, Paul Avery and Oscar McKinnon.
He leaves behind an abundance of love to the following survivors: two daughters, Ah’Niyuah Jackson and Aviya Jackson; three siblings, Jason Jackson, Jaime (Corneilous) McCullough, and Shambresha Jackson; two nieces, JaNoviuana Gates and MaKinze McCullough; six nephews, Zanquinarious Brooks, Zuberi Jackson, Jakhari Jackson Quanterrious McCullough, Markeivious Griffin, Osaze Kyles, a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
