Mr. Carlton (DaDa) Reed the son of the late Dorothy Reed and Carlton L. Frazier was born on December 24, 1974, in Chambers County, Alabama. On Saturday, December 17, 2022, God sent his Angles down from above to take Carlton home for his peaceful rest.
Carlton attended Troup County High School, LaGrange, GA. At a young age he took up the trade of being a barber. This trade lead him to become a master barber later in life. Besides his passion of being cutting hair, Carlton enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Carlton gave his life to Christ through baptism at New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in West Point, GA. In later years he joined the Emanuel Chapel CME Church, where served as a choir member.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents Mr. George Willie Reed, Ms. Rebecca Ford, Mr. Relles, and Mrs. Genell Frazier.
Carlton leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Sejuana Barber, West Point, GA and Taniya Threats both of West Point, GA; one son, Carmonta Reed, West Point, GA; a devoted companion and fiancé, Monica Carlisle, West Point, GA; stepfather, Leroy Tucker, West Point, GA whom rendered him as his own; two sisters, Stacey Reed of Valley, AL, DashQue Mustiy, Tacoma WA, one brother Fernando Reed of West Point, GA; special aunts and uncles Mrs. Shirley Bailey, Jim Bailey, Marie Hutchinson, Tammy J. Woody all of West Point, GA, Lisa and Eric Harrington of Lanett, AL, Claudine and Tommy Jackson of Phenix City, AL, Larry Reed and Michael Frazier both of West Point, GA, nephew, Carlos Reed; special cousins, George and Gena Brewer, Eric and Trey Brewer, Delmeco Lynch.
Carlton leaves behind a host of friends, Corey McCullough, Steve and Alanso Murphy, Eric Reed, Dedebrozo and Yolanda Johnson; ministers that touched his life, Rev. Leon William, Rev Derrick Miller, Dr. Linsey Napier and a host of cousins and other family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Reed will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Emanuel Chapel CME Church with Rev. Lavisha Williams, Pastor, Bishop Donald Lancaster, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Marseilles Cemetery
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
