On the somber day of August 10, 2023, Rena was taken from us too soon at
Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
Rena, age 39, was a force of kindness and love. She had a love for all people that
defines the fabric of growing up in the small community of Beulah in Opelika,
Alabama. She was born September 30, 1983 to the late Betty Fuller, who was
affectionately referred to as “Twin”. She was reared and loved by her devoted
father, Lyndon Barry Fuller and his wife Bobbie Fuller. She confessed Christ
at an early age at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Christ
Temple Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth R. Carter.
She attended Opelika City Schools and later transferred to Smiths Station High
School after relocating to Crawford, Alabama. Rena’s life was deep-rooted in her
love for her two children, Aiden Laprel Fuller and Zion Ja’Barrion Fuller—who
passed away shortly after birth.
Rena truly lived life through simple pleasures, spending time with friends,
family and Auburn football. Her career as a customer service professional with
organizations such as: Afni, Opelika, AL, Road America and Credit Acceptance,
Columbus, GA allowed her to make an abundance of friends.
She always played the “momma bear” to her three brothers-- Brian, Rakeem and
Kadeem. This would later fuel her passion for counseling mothers grieving the
loss of a child.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Aiden Laprel Fuller, Columbus, GA;
her father, Lyndon Barry (Bobbie) Fuller, Opelika, AL; three brothers, Brian
Fuller, Nashville, TN, Rakeem (Jayla) Fuller, Huntsville, AL and Kadeem Fuller,
Chicago, IL; grandfather, George Brooks Jr., her life partner, Tarvaras Lewis,
Columbus, GA; and a host of uncles, aunts, other loving relatives and friends.
Rena “Nae Nae” as she was affectionately called by her family, possessed an
infectious laughter and beautiful smile that will be deeply missed by all who
knew her. “Rest on baby girl”
