Mr. Leon “Nu” Marshall, Jr. went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, Alabama. He was born on January 2, 1969 in Chicago, IL to Mr. Leon Marshall, Sr. and Ms. Odessa Glaze.
Leon was employed as a forklift driver in the textile industry for many years. He loved the Auburn Tigers football team and the Duke Blue Devils basketball team. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Odessa Glaze; his grandparents, Mr. Floyd Marshall and Mrs. Louise Marshall and Mr. Willie Glaze and Mrs. Susie Glaze.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his father, Leon Marshall, Sr.; two children Deon Edmondson, Sr., Atlanta, GA and Keyontae Marshall, Valley, AL; four grandchildren, Payton Jeremiah Marshall, Valley, AL, Deon L. Edmondson, Jr., Jade Raquel Edmondson and JaVeon Damone Edmondson, all of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Barbara (Ralph) Cullwell, Lanett, AL and Latrece (Ochigwe) Unaka, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Willie (Kelly) Marshall, Lanett, AL and Terrance Davis, Opelika, AL; a loving partner, Theresa Willis, Valley, AL; aunts; uncles; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. (EST) on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery, Cusseta, AL with Rev. Eddie Reece III, Officiant/Eulogist. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley, AL directing.
There will be no public viewing.
