Obituary For Mr. Esau Johnson

Mr. Esau Johnson, Jr., a resident of Lanett, AL, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. (EST) at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Donald Lancaster as Officiant/Eulogist.

Mr. Esau Johnson, Jr. was born in Lee County, Alabama on June 20, 1955 to the late Esau Johnson, Sr. and Leila Fields Johnson. He attended Tuskegee Institute High School in Tuskegee Institute, Alabama. Esau was an avid sports fan--and he loved University of Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves baseball teams. He was a logger by trade, but was also a handyman--being able to fix almost anything in a house.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willie G. Johnson and James Johnson; and a loving aunt by whom he was reared and called mother, Sadie Stinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Ethel Johnson, Lanett, AL and Dorothy Newton, West Point, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
