Mr. Clint McClain, a resident of Lanett, AL, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at EAMC-Lanier Memorial Hospital, Valley, AL.
Mr. Clint McClain, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2024. He was born in Chicago, IL, February 20, 1959. Known for his strength and dedication, he spent more than 25 years driving trucks, embracing the open road and the freedom it provided.
Clint accepted Christ as his Savior and united with Parkway Garden Christian Church in Chicago, where he served as drummer for a number of years.
Before relocating to Alabama, Clint cared for his deceased wife Sharon Price McClain with whom he shared five wonderful children. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Irma Pugh McClain and Robert Jesse McClain.
In Alabama, Clint found a renewed sense of joy when he united with his current wife and best friend, Denise McClain. They both became members of Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point, GA under the leadership of the late Dr. W.T. Edmonson. Together they were married for 13 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments.
Although he was new to Lanett, Clint never met a stranger. He was a people person that helped whomever he encountered. In his free time, he enjoyed exploring new places with Denise and working on home improvement projects. More recently, Clint was employed with AJIN USA in Cusseta, AL.
Mr. Clint McClain is survived by his loving wife, Denise McClain; one daughter, Ciearria (Tarrell) Price Haynes 4 sons: Jeffrey Price, Clinton Price, Pierre Price, and Brandon (Priscilla); his grandchildren Jada, Tarrell Jr., Kenaj'a, Amaurianna, Pierre Jr., Taron, Kylea, Christian, Mekhi, Camarie, Rhaniyah, Avery, Cayden, Abigail, Madison, and Grace; great-grandchildren Ashton and Nariyah; his bonus children: Deontae (Candace) Darden, LaToya Todd, Whitney (Matthew) Brantley, and Cenedra Allen; bonus grandchildren: Altavious, Shaheed, Termerion, Aaliyah, Gavin Jr., Makensley, Madisyn, Arlo Myles, Malia, Myles, and Dallas; his siblings, Glenn Pugh, Wardell McClain, Reginald (Equilla) McClain, Peggy McClain, Janet McClain, and Brenda McClain; mother-in-law, Madelene Shealey; sisters-in-law: Nikki Darden, Margo Darden, and Janice Tumbs; brothers-in-law: Jerone Darden, J.T. Tumbs, David Tumbs, Earnest (Joann), Tumbs and Ervin (Kashocka) Tumbs; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close family and friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering support for his family. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved and of those who loved him.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. (EST) from Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point, GA with Rev. Karanja Story officiating and Bishop Donald Lancaster, Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lanett, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.
