Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. (EST) from Rehoboth Baptist Church, 206 Huguley Road, Valley, AL, Rev. Karanja Story, Pastor/Officiant and Rev. Dr. Jonathan Carter, Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel in Valley.
Bobby Lee Reid was born on June 25, 1934 to the late Ben and Beulah Huguley Reid. Bobby transitioned to his eternal rest on Friday, September 20, 2024 at his residence.
On January 1, 1965, Bobby Lee Reid married the love of his life, Bobbie Monagan Reid and they were married for 59 years. Mr. Bobby Lee Reid served his community as a Businessman—owning and operating Reid’s Dry Cleaning for over 50 years. He also was a member of Fairfax Masonic Lodge #876 where he also served as the treasurer. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend T. L. Cranford. There he served as a faithful, devoted Deacon and Treasurer for many years.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Reid, Jr. He leaves to cherish precious memories to: his wife, Bobbie M. Reid, Valley, AL; sons, Larry Reid, Louisville, KY and Marlin (Tawanda) Carter, Clarksville, TN; daughters, Marcia (Johnny) Thomas, Valley, AL and Wendy (Donald) Ward, Las Vegas, NV; ten grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; sister-in-law, Marian Bryant, Valley, AL; brothers-in-law, Oscar Monagan, Valley, AL and Johnny Monagan, Atlanta, GA; special friends, John Lowe, Jr. and Marcus Hanes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.
