Edna Hughes, 78, of Danielsville Georgia, passed away September 14, 2021 with her family by her side. It seems befitting that she would join her husband on the day of their wedding anniversary. Edna was born to the late George and Bessie West, January of 1943 in Danielsville, Georgia. She was married to the late Paul James Hughes, Jr. in 1962. Edna is survived by her three children: Terry Hughes, Paula Rodriguez, and Dana Adams, who is married to Robert Adams. She is survived by her five grandchildren, Joshua Hughes, Hannah Hughes, Marina Rodriguez, Megan Adams, and Jacob Adams.
Edna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Having a heart for children, Edna worked at Danielsville Elementary School, as a Paraprofessional, for 31 years; Edna enjoyed fostering relationships with children, and watching them learn and grow. After retirement, Edna continued regular volunteer work in the classroom. Along with Edna’s home and professional life, Edna was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church, in Danielsville Georgia. One of Edna’s many hobbies included tending her garden. Edna enjoyed all kinds of flowers and could name just about any one of them. Edna’s family has chosen to conduct a private memorial for her close relatives
