With extreme sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Caylee Ann Carlson of Alto, Georgia. She passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 surrounded by her family at our home. At the age of 22, Caylee had bravely fought MDS/Leukemia cancer for two years.
Caylee was born October 20, 2001 in New Haven, CT. Caylee and her mom moved to Georgia in 2012 where she finished growing up and graduating from Habersham Central High School in 2020. She was beloved by her classmates, teachers, and all the people that met her. She had a special love for all her farm animals, especially her goats! She loved the Great Smoky Mountains, Tybee Island, enjoyed all things outdoors and especially loved sunflowers and roses. Caylee had a special bond with her brother and sister, they were her world. From the moment we met Caylee, she fit right in with our family. She was always so loving and kind. I remember how much our kids loved her too. Her pure heart and kind spirit made her such a joy to be around. Her nanny and papa loved her to bits, and I know that must have been a beautiful reunion. Through her fight, she remained her beautiful and smiling self. Although healing here on earth wasn't meant to be, I know you are completely healed and without pain. Alison, Josh, Shelby and Wyatt, you are loved and always in our prayers.
