Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Walter Lee Sparks of Union Springs, Alabama.
Mr. Sparks, 68, transitioned into eternity, May 14, 2021 at his residence in the Hardaway Church Community.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 12:00 noon from the Mason Cemetery. Elder Freddie Jones of the Union Springs First Seventh Day Adventist Church will deliver the message of comfort and strength.
Attendees for all visitations and services are requested to wear appropriate facial coverings and practice social distancing guidelines.
Walter L. Sparks was born September 3, 1952 to Mrs. Era Sparks and the late Mr. James L. Sparks Sr.
Walter was a caring person. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, He also had a love for carpentry
On May 14, 2021 God said Walter it’s time for you to take your rest.
Walter was preceded in death by his father James L. Sparks Sr. one sister Hailey Rose Sparks and one brother Frank Sparks
Cherished memories of Walter will fondly remain with his loving and devoted mother, Era Sparks of Union Springs, AL; four brothers: James (Sara) Sparks, David (Kathy) Sparks, of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Elliott J. Sparks of Huntsville, Al. and Quentin Rhodes of Philadelphia, PA; a special aunt, Dorothy Bailey of Huntsville, Al and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, friends and a very loving church family .
