Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the transition of Mr. Ronnie Hicks of Midway, AL.
“Hicks” as he was known to many, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Dothan, AL. at the age of 64.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, September 22, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Antioch Baptist Cemetery of Eufaula, AL.
Pastor Henry Streeter of the Hayes Hill and New Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Churches will deliver the message of comfort to the family.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
RONNIE HICKS was born on December 21, 1958, to the late Fordie Hicks and Carrie Lou Marshall Hicks. He departed this life Sunday, September 17, 2023 at South East Regional Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Ronnie confessed his faith in Christ at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church of Eufaula, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fordie Hicks; mother Carrie Lou Hicks; brothers, Larry and Willie C. Hicks.
He was employed at Pitts Enterprises until his health started to decline.
Ronnie was married to Mosalla Sparks Hicks.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories three daughters: Carrie Hicks, Troy, AL; Clarion(Antione) Hicks and Timica Sellers both of Midway, AL. two step-sons, Michael (Charlotte) Sparks and Bobby (Deborah)Harris; sixteen grandchildren: Takiah, Aanyah, Makyrah, Kylon, Tia, Kennedi, Ezekiel, Kendrick Jr, Michease, Myonti, Michael Jr, Telayshia, Camia, Brooklyn, Ava and Braylon; seven brothers: Richard James(Mary) Hicks and Robert(Inell) Hicks both of Eufaula, AL; Junior(Sharon) Hicks, Louisville, AL; Luartlrnr(Meritta) Hicks, Eufaula, AL; Bruno(Tammy) Hicks, Macon, GA; Thomas Hicks, Hunstville, AL and Donald(Sheila) Hicks, Eufaula, AL.; A loving companion “Buster” and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
