Obituary For Freddie Lee Smith
Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Freddie Lee Smith, age 59 of Montgomery, AL.
Mr. Smith passed away Tuesday evening June 13, 2023, in Montgomery, AL.
Born in Union Springs, AL, Freddie, known and loved as โDJ โ Freddie Fredโ was a 1982 graduate of Bullock County High School.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, June 30, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 am from the sanctuary of the Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Union Springs, AL.
The eulogy will be delivered by Dr Rodney Comer, Pastor of the New Harvest Church of Christ in Montgomery, AL.
Interment will follow in the Town Creek Baptist Cemetery.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

My heart is broken. Freddie Fred was a light and I will never forget the wonderful times we had at AUM! I used to bother him all the time, begging to sing in the mic like I was Whitney Houston! Rest well, my long time friend and Master DJ! I will see you soon. May God bring comfort and peace to the family and may Freddie's amazing spirit bring you happy memories always.
