Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Ms. Christine Grays of Union Springs, Alabama.
Ms. Grays, 61, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Bullock County Hospital.
Dedicated to her community and filled with a spirit of service, Ms. Grays will long be remembered for her Cosmetology skills, her service at both Union Springs Elementary and Conecuh Springs Christian Schools and her devoted support as an Usher at the Old St. John Baptist Church.
The Commemoration of Life Services will begin with a public visitation Friday, June 4,2021 from 2:00 pm until 5 :00 pm at Carter Funeral Home
The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm from Moultrie Cemetery.
The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Bobby Upshaw of the Old St. John Baptist Church.
Christine Grays was born December 28, 1959 to Inez Allen and Harold Cargle.
She devoted her life to Christ at an early age and served her Old St John Baptist Church family as an Usher.
Christine departed this life on May 26, 2021.
Chris will always be remembered for her love of the outdoors, especially fishing and her special family gatherings.
Preceding her in death are her mom, Inez Allen and her first born, Tierra Likely.
Precious memories remain with her devoted daughter and son in law, Cierra and Charles Ellis of Union Springs, AL, her two grandchildren, Charles, Jr. and Charlicia Ellis, her siblings, Phil (Tanya) Grays, Montgomery, Al, Vincent Grays, and John Grays, Louisville, KY, Reggie Cargle, Sharon Cargle Tammie Cargle and Niecey Cargle, all of New York along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
