Carter Funeral Home is humbled to announce the transition of Mr. Cecil Rumph, 62, of Barbour County, Alabama. Born July 2,1954, Mr. Rumph transitioned on Saturday,March 11,2017.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, March 18,2017 at 11:00 am from the sanctuary of the Shady Grove Baptist Church, Louisville, Alabama. Words of comfort will be delivered by, Pastor Joe Grey.
Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Rumph will lie in repose at the church one,hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Visitation for family and,friends will,be Friday, March 17,2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
Cecil Rumph was born July 2, 1954 to the late Edmund and Nellie Gamble Rumph in Barbour County, AL. He was a life-long resident of the Mt. Andrew Community, where he was loved by everyone until his departure on March 11, 2017. Cecil was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Cecil was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Rumph Johnson, Ms. Eula Grey and Mrs. Willie Mae Crossley; two brothers, Mr. Charlie C. Rumph and Mr. Lorenzo Rumph. Cecil leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Mrs. Jennifer Rumph, Arcadia, FL; one son, Mr. Johnny Rumph, Clayton, AL; one sister, Ms. Dorothy Walker, Clayton, AL; one brother, Mr. Eddie C. Rumph, Louisville, AL; six grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
