“Nute”, as he was known by many, received his education n the West Point Public School System, where he was a member of the West Point High School graduating class of 1972.
After high school, Nute worked many jobs. He was an employee of Langdale Mill and Skinner Furniture. Nute, also, worked for Mayor Steve Trammell, and other families in the West Point area.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by grandmothers, Sally Kate Williams and Ethel Hames; brothers, Milton Hairston, James Williams and Michael Bailey and two sisters, Gail Williams and Louise Cabbell.
He leaves to cherish his memories: four sons, Christopher Stiggers, Atlanta, GA, Tieko Williams, Lanett, AL, Edward (Renea) Williams and Arsennio (Jabree) Williams ,LaGrange, GA; two step-daughters, Kiwanya(Timothy)Heard, Augusta, GA and Latoya Mitchell, Hogansville, GA; one step-son, Carlos Brock, Lanett, AL; stepmother, Thelma Williams, West Point, GA; brothers, Earnest(Jacquelyn) Jackson, Larry(Carolyn) Bailey Sr. , West Point, GA, and Arthur Charles (Waydean) Bailey, Sylacauga, AL; a special niece and nephew, Debra Davidson and Victor Lipscomb; 26 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside Services for Mr. Williams will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. ET in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Lanett, AL with the Bishop Donald Lancaster, officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence of Amos “Bookie” Moody, 206 North 8th Avenue, Lanett, AL
