Mrs. Ruby A. Hicks, 55, of Wedowee, AL transitioned on March 13, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Ruby A. Hicks, the daughter of the late Ruby Lois Bailey Houston and the late Harvey Houston was born August 3, 1969 in Wedowee, Randolph County, Alabama. She departed this life on March 13, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Ruby accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She received her education in the Randolph County Public Schools. Ruby was employed in the retail industry for many years until failing health.

Ruby enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Before failing health, she would spend hours horseback riding with her husband. She was full of laughter and joy. She would keep a smile on your face.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Houston and one son Michael Manley Houston.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Willie B. Hick, Jr., Lanett, AL; two daughters, Quartisa Houston and Leticia(Chris)Hicks McCullough; three sons, Rodrecus Houston, JaQuez Hicks and Montreal Bledsoe; eight grandchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willie and Mary Hicks, Sr.; three brothers-in-law, Charles(Brenda)Hicks, Sr. , Felix Hicks and Curtis(Sheralyn)Hicks, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Ruby A. Hicks will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m ET, in the Pinehill Cemetery 2235 22nd Avenue, SW, Lanett, AL 36863, with Bishop Dr. Bertha Hodge, Officiant, Eulogist.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 2:00 p.m. ET until 6:00 p.m. ET at M. W. Lee Mortuary.
