Ms. Kreshinda LaShay Banks, a resident of Valley, AL, died Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in West Point, GA.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, September 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. (EST) from Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1512 River Road, Valley, AL, Rev. Robert L. Carter, Pastor/Officiant and Minister Torrance Rudd, Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, 3202 Country Club Road, Lanett, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

On September 10, 2024, God called Kreshinda LaShay Banks from her earthly home to her eternal resting place.
Kreshinda affectionately known as “Shay” was born January 8, 1987 to the parentage of Bennie Rufus Banks, Jr. and Zelma Madden Butler in Opelika, Alabama. She accepted Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Willie Wimberly and later changed her membership to Power Chapel Ignite under the leadership of Pastor Torrance Rudd. She was a graduate of Valley High School, Class of 2005. She was a contractor for Kia in West Point, Georgia.
Kershinda “Shay” loved spending time with her greatest blessings—her sweet and amazing two sons. She was the life of the event, no matter what type of event she was attending. You could always count on her to be the most supportive person on the scene.
Kershinda “Shay” was preceded in death by: her father, Bennie R. Banks, Jr.; step-father, Charlie W. Butler; grandparents, Robert and Sallie Mae Madden, Quince Ella Banks, Bennie Banks, Sr., and Stella Mae Tyner.
Kreshinda “Shay” leaves to cherish her memories and love: two precious sons, Javoris Sharpe and Zachary Banks; a loving and caring mother, Zelma M. Butler; loving bonus dad, Elton, Tyner; four devoted sisters, Madelyn (Eric) Snipes, Allison (Lydell) Banks-Trimble, Desiria D. Banks, and Catherine Banks; aunts and uncles, Robert (Mary) Madden, Linda (Larry) McCullough, James (Martha) Madden, Sanford Madden, Ronnie Madden, Lamar (Lashonda) Madden, Mary Alice Banks, Linda Holmes, and Desiria Y. Banks; great-aunts, Laura Gene Williams, Ella Mae Dunn, Crosby Calhoun, Lillie (Hayne) McCulloh, and Nettie Curtis; “her” Granny, Myra McCullough; nieces and nephews, Tatyana Banks, Antrineshia Banks, Alyric Wright, Benquaveus Banks, Ambreah Butler, Rachel Butler, A’niyah Hutchinson, Donivan Banks, Alyssa Trimble, Davontae Lynch, Alicia Porter, Zy’Rhiana Porter, and Nola Rose Bailey; a devoted bonus sister, Andreena Lynch; a bonus brother, Charles Butler; two best friends, Yshonda (Tavares) Davis and Ursula Byrd; a host of cousins she loved as brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends.
