We are saddened to announce the peaceful transition of Eugene Heard on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 surrounded with the love of his daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in the Chapel of Wright’s Funeral Home.

Eugene Heard was born August 6, 1934 to Roseta Thomas in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

Eugene Heard was a faithful member of Move of God Deliverance Tabernacle until his health declined.

He was a very dedicated father and grandfather. He loved his family and church family.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, his wife , BeLillie Bell Heard, one son, Wilbur Lee Heard, one daughter, Annie Jean Heard.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024 surrounded with the love of his daughter, Eugene peacefully transitioned home to live with the Lord.

Eugene leaves to cherish his precious memories children, Willie Gene Heard, Dorothy Russaw, both of Alexander City, Alabama; Jimmy Lee Heard of Camp Hill, Alabama;

Vivian (Orrin) Reese of Alexander City, Alabama; Leonard Heard of Electic, Alabama; James (Jalissa) of Tallassee, Alabama; Billie Ray Crayton, Alfred (Remika) Crayton, Alfreda (Shelby) McNeal, Diane (Jermaine) McCoy all of Alexander City, Alabama; Priscilla Jones of Camp Hill, Alabama; Leroy (Sylvia) Moss of Auburn, Alabama; Lisa Crayton, Michael Crayton both of Dadeville, Alabama; and 44 grandchildren, 97 great grandchildren, 5 great- great grandchildren, one aunt, Gracie Harris, one brother-in-law, Jim( Annie) Leonard, and a host of nieces nephews , cousins , special friends, Pastor Willie Ford and Mr. Vencho.
