Ms. Cornelia “Neil” Ware Morgan, 77, of Lanett, Alabama, gained her heavenly wings into eternal rest on February 9, 2024 at her residence in Lanett, Alabama.

Mrs. Cornelia “Neil” Ware Morgan was born January 17, 1947 to the late Ram and Mattie Ware. On February 9, 2024, God said, “Come home, my child,” at her residence.

Cornelia Morgan was a graduate of Harrison High School Class of 1964. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined Love Union Baptist Church. Later in life, she united with St. John Community Baptist Church.

Cornelia was an employee of George H. Lanier Hospital. She was later employed at West Point Stevens for 30 years. She retired from Interface Flooring, West Point, GA.

Cornelia was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ram and Mattie Ware; aunt, Lottie Norman; daughter, Cornelia “C.D.” Morgan; and son-in-law, Bobby L. Truitt Jr. Mrs. Cornelia “Neil” Ware Morgan leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children: Sawanda Morgan Truitt, Kevin Morgan, Rev. Prince H. Morgan III, and Kelli Huguley; 13 grandchildren: Shequita Morgan, Dervoski Morgan, Tywanda Morgan, Yashameka (Octavious) Summers, Arneishia Morgan, Jessica (Greg) Boozer, Clifford McClure Jr., Nia’Shicka Bledsoe, Waltavious Huguley, Kordelros Morgan, Kelvonte Morgan, Deneilia (Sheldon) Douglas, and Danyelle Morgan; 27 great-grandchildren; special friend, Mary Potts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Ms. Cornelia “Neil” Ware Morgan will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 2028 31st Street, SW, Lanett, AL, with Rev. John Flournoy, Jr., Officiating, Rev. Prince Morgan III, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, 2167 22nd Avenue, SW, Lanett, AL.

Pubic viewing will be held on Friday, February 16 , 2024 from 2:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
