ALFONSA DON MARTIN was born to the late W. C. and Varnseail Martin both of whom preceded him in death. When he returned from the war, he became an independent cattle farmer. On this farm he raised numerous cattle and dogs of many breeds but mainly Beagles for his rabbit hunting. Don fished, he was an excellent pool shooter, and would even manage to find the time to maintain a small lawn service, but one of his passions was joking and laughing with his family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Kennyth Martin. Three sisters Mattie Martin, Hattie Dennis and Jeffie Martin Carther. Four brothers Fred Reynolds, Julian Martin, James Martin and Marvin Martin.

He leaves cherished memories to his loving wife Sanquirnetta Martin of Montgomery, AL., three sons Ray (Serena) Scott of Union Springs, AL., Raphael Martin (Felecia) Martin of Union Springs, AL., and Donn (Enrika) Martin of Union Springs, AL., one daughter Alsan Martin and one stepdaughter Charnetta (Jemmie) Hicks; three brothers Jimmy Martin, Claude (Ann) Martin, and Nathaniel (April) White and one sister Fairy Henry. Life in this world will bring tears and pain. Don's life was not in vain. My sweetest memories of him will fill the gaps of my sadness. I will always cherish the way he would sneak me honeybuns to eat quietly in our family van growing up. May the Creator of the Universe provide the family with peace during this daunting time.
