Obituary For Susan A. Breland

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Susan A. Breland of 1795 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC. Susan passed away at Westchester Manor Nursing home on 12/3/2022 at age 87.

Susan was a native of Yanceyville, NC the daughter of Martha Johnson born on October 11, 1935. Before moving to High Point, NC, she resided in Columbus, Georgia.

Susan was a devoted housewife and a faithful member of St James Baptist church for several years.

All that knew her knew of her love of music and dancing. She also had a love of animals, especially cats.

She was also an avid sports fan, with her favorite team being the Atlanta Braves.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Breland. And son Reginald L. Breland. One sister, Monnie Johnson Oliver Pinchback, two brothers, James Johnson, and Richard Johnson Sr.

Susan is survived by son Ronald E. Breland (Dorothy), daughter Sharon Richardson (Barry), granddaughter Monica L. Breland, great grandson Jarrell Richardson, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 9:30 AM in the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Interment will be Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:30 AM. Susan will be laid to rest at Ft Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft Mitchell, AL.
