“Butch,” as he was affectionately known by many was also nicknamed, “Dog” by his friends. He was a loving, fun, and outgoing person. He attended the Lanett City Schools where he was a “Standout” basketball player.
Butch had many titles. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and a friend to many.
He leaves his wonderful memories to be cherished by his loving mother, Vonice Billingslea of Lanett, AL; daughter, Naketta Billingslea of Lanett, AL; son, Shun’Derrius Strong of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Mazion Cofield, Tatum Strong and Kailor Strong; sisters, Mekisha(Tony)Cochran of Opelika, AL, Suelan McMullen, Lanett, AL and Jameika Story of Lanett, AL; brother, MaKeith Landers of Louisville, KY; special aunt, Linda Zachery, of Lanett, AL; special cousins, Tona Shells of Lanett, AL; special friend, Georgia Reynolds of Union Springs, AL; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends
Graveside Services for Mr. Billingslea will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Pinehill Cemetery with Bishop Donald Lancaster, officiating, Overseer Calvin Daniels, Eulogist and Mr. Benjamin Baker, assisting.
Public viewing will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
