We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Stanley P. Colton age 59 of Grantville, Georgia on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at his residence.

Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery located at 2950 Primrose Road in Greenville, Georgia 30222. Dr. E. L. Jimmerson, Pastor, will officiate.

Due to COVID-19 concerns everyone in attendance MUST WEAR A MASK and social distancing is encouraged.

Obituary Mr. Stanley Paul Colton, affectionally known as “Pete” to some and “Paul” to others, was born on February 15, 1962 in Meriwether County, to the late George Render and Margaret Colton. On February 8, 2022 Stanley transitioned to his eternal rest.

Stanley attended Meriwether County Schools. He was a man of many talents. He was known for his hard work in construction and also in carpentry. Stanley enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Stanley joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents George Render and Margaret Colton; one sister Berrutha Render; brother Eugene Colton; two granddaughters Touche’ Beasley and Derekah Reeves and brother- in-law Cesar Payton.

Stanley leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Katherine Jackson-Colton and his children Derek Reeves of Greenville, GA, Demetric (Termaine) Stroman of Woodbury, GA, Alfonso (Quijuna) Reeves of Newnan, GA, Rodriqus (Shavonne) Reeves of Grantville, GA, Stan (Ofrinesia) Reeves of LaGrange, GA, Brittney Colton of Greenville, GA, JeBrandan Jackson and Kyra Jackson of Newnan, GA. Stanley also leaves three sisters, Joyce Colton, Jackie Colton both of Luthersville, GA and Janice Render of Norfolk, VA; three brothers Tony Colton of Luthersville, GA, Willie (Myra) Render and Wiley Render both of Chattanooga, TN; mother-in-law Ann Jackson of Luthersville, GA; father-in-law James Jackson of Newnan, GA; two brother-in-laws Orlando Jackson and Chris Jackson both of Luthersville, GA; twenty-two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
