Obituary For Waymond Garsee

Waymond Garsee, 72, of West Point, Georgia passed away on January 29, 2022 at Wellstar-LaGrange, Georgia. Waymond was born in Troup County, Georgia on July 7, 1949 to the late Monroe and Vera Garsee.

Waymond graduated from Troup High School in 1967, and then served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. After his Army services, he began a career as a truck driver.

Waymond is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Garsee; his daughter Nicki (Bubba) Freeman of West Point. His grandson Cam; His brother Buddy Spraggins; His brother John (Tammy); His brother Jesse; His sister Karen (Mike); His Best Friend and Fishing Buddy James Pitts; His nieces, nephews, and many children that thought of him as a father figure and knew him as “Papa.”

He was a member of Reeds Chapel Baptist Church. He was a Christian, husband, father, father-in-law, and a friend. He had a love of fishing.

The family will greet friends for visitation on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 3:00 pm EST at Bluffton Funeral services in Lanett, Alabama followed by the Memorial Service at 4:00 pm EST also at Bluffton Funeral Services.

Reverends Jeff McCartney and Aaron McCollough will officiate.

Services have been entrusted to Bluffton Funeral Services, Lanett, Alabama.
