John Russell Plunkett of Auburn Ga. died July 27, 2021 after a brief illness. He is survived by his brother James Plunkett, niece Stephanie Dykstra and nephew Dave Plunkett.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” John Russell Plunkett was such a man. Rest well.
