Obituary For John L. Colbert Jr.

Mr. John L. Colbert, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 89.

Mr. Colbert was born on July 23, 1931 to the late John Colbert, Sr. and Earline Smith in Columbus, GA.

Other than his parents Mr. Colbert was preceded in death by; his daughter, Tamera Colbert; half-brother, Charlie Colbert.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Patricia Colbert; three sons, Grenes Colbert (Parilee), Derek Colbert (Angela) and John Colbert III; two daughters, Jerri Johnson (Craig) and LaShern Colbert; 22 grandchildren; host of great grandchildren, host of many other relatives and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Progressive with interment following at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

The Staff of Progressive Funeral Home is honored to be selected to provide end of life services.
