Pastor Napolian Darden, a resident of Valley, AL, died Monday, February 8, 2021 at his residence.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. (EST) at Resthaven Cemetery, 6415 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lanett, AL, Rev. Willie G. Wimberly, Officiant and Pastor David L. Core, Sr., Eulogist. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Mr. Napolian Darden was born February 15, 1940 in Chambers County, Alabama to Mr. John Darden, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Lizzie Carter Darden. He transitioned from this life on Monday, February 8, 2021 at his residence in Valley, Alabama.

At an early age he joined Community Missionary Baptist Church in Valley under the leadership of Rev. B. C. Carter, Jr. He served as a Deacon for many years. He was later called into the Ministry under the leadership of Pastor David L. Core, Sr. After several years, he was called as Pastor of New Mount Nebo Baptist Church in West Point, Georgia, where he served for four years. Rev. Darden was the Founder and Pastor of True Faith Baptist Church in Valley where he was committed and devoted until his health declined.

He was educated at Rehobeth High School in Fairfax (now Valley), Alabama. He was employed at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in his early years, and worked as a Supervisor for West Point Stevens for many years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Jesse W. Burton, John Darden, Jr., and James Darden; three sisters, Essie Chambers, Carrie Meadows and Eva Lee Stratford; and, one grandson, Jacalvis Darden.

Pastor Napolian Darden leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted wife of 60 years, Pearlie Darden; one son, Calvin (Minister Altanua) Darden; two daughters, Patricia (Alvin) Brooks and Deborah (Rev. Willie Joe) Fears; two brothers, Deacon Fred (Minister Alice) Darden and West Crim; two sisters, Annie Edwards and Martha Ann Hervey; six grandchildren, LaTasha Boyd, Jeremiah Darden, LaKesha Darden, Lekeith Brooks, Jaddeus (Tonya) Fears and Jeremiah Fears; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Francis Burton, Mary (Rozell) Floyd and Betty (Minister Donald) Tillman; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Fredrick and Johnnie B. Fredrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
