Progressive Funeral Home respectfully announces the passing of Mary Daniels age 70 of Columbus, GA on January 20, 2021.

Ms. Mary A. Daniels of Ft. Benning, GA transitioned home Wednesday at Orchard View Nursing Facility. She was 70 years of age.

The daughter of Alexander and Alma Hill McQueen, Ms. Daniels was born in Richmond, Virginia and has resided in the Chattahoochee area since 1989. She was a devout member of the Peaceful Holiness Church where she served as a Deaconess, with the Ushers’ Ministry, as a member of the Choir, and she taught Sunday School. She was currently working as a customer service representative with the Army Air Force Exchange Services. One of Ms. Daniels favorite pastime was traveling.

Preceding her in death, other than her parents, include: three children, Noreen McQueen, Keith McQueen and Kevin McQueen; three siblings, Alexander McQueen, Jr., Margaret Bradley and Ernestine Jackson. Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her beloved children, Dr. Tiffany Frasier, Robert C. Watson, Seabee EO2 Jerome A. Daniels, Sandy L. Daniels Passmore (Curtis), and Hakeem J. Daniels; four grandchildren, two siblings, Cordell Belser (Ella) and Eva M. McQueen; a host of other relatives and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Daniels will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 12 noon at the Progressive Chapel with Pastor Helen Purnell officiating. The interment will follow in the National Cemetery at Ft. Mitchell.
