Kirsten Anne Willis was a daughter, a mother, a sister, a partner, and a loving friend. She left this world unexpectedly on January 4th, 2021.
She was born on March 2nd, 1991 in Daytona Beach, FL to Teresena Wymes and Keith Willis. To her close friends and family, she was often affectionately called “Kitty” or “K.” Kirsten graduated from Auburn High School in Auburn, AL in 2009 and Southern Union State Community College in 2011.
Kirsten could change your attitude with a smile, and brighten your day with a song. She had the voice of an angel. And the heart of one as well. She could make anyone laugh with a single phrase, look, and sarcastic remark. Kirsten was the love of her mother’s life and the center of her world. Her mother instilled in her values of love and kindness that she shared with everyone she encountered. One of her greatest joys was becoming a mother, herself, on January 29th, 2019, and passing along those values to her son.
She is survived by her parents, Teresena Wymes, Robert Lloyd, and Keith Willis; her grandparents, Katie Lloyd, Suzy Kridner-Wymes, Eddie Willis, and James Bryant; her godmother, Lyneé Gadson-Howard; her son, Christian Tabron; her partner, Dante Tabron; her siblings, Destinie Willis, Shelton Willis, Jalen Willis, Robert Lloyd 2nd, Jordan Lloyd; a host of aunts, uncles, and family members; and her close friends, Alex Chavis, Anaidra Reese, Chardaé Shaw, Emelie Martins, Gloria Nyankima, Leonard Baldwin, Myricka Brown, Tiffani Jackson, Sole Hernandez, Tristani Trammell, and a many other friends she held so dear.
She’ll be comforted in the arms of her belated grandparents, Helen Jernigan Wymes, James Wymes, and Annie Willis, her sister, Jasmine Lloyd, and her god-daughter, Alexis Reese.
